Generalist by design.
Specialist by consultant.

Whether you are a client or a candidate, we welcome your interest. teqniq is an established recruitment agency supplying temporary, contract and permanent staff across the public, private and third sectors.

Who we are, and how we work

teqniq is a generalist recruitment agency. We operate from London across every UK region — England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland — and we have supplied regularly into the European Union. We place temporary, contract and permanent staff, and we work direct or through whichever neutral vendor or managed service portal your procurement route requires.

teqniq was founded in 2023. The experience behind it goes back considerably further — our director has been building and running recruitment businesses since 2002. That combination is deliberate rather than accidental: a company young enough to have no legacy systems slowing it down, run by people who have already made the mistakes that cost clients money.

We supplied into the European Union regularly, and we intend to be doing so again in 2027, alongside a first move into the United States. Both are extensions of the same model rather than separate businesses — the same consultants, the same compliance standard, the same account team.

Generalist does not mean unspecialised. It means you are not appointing a different agency for every line on your requisition list. The consultant filling a warehouse shift and the consultant finding a cyber security contractor sit in the same office, work to the same compliance standard, and answer to the same account team.

One agency, every desk you need

Recruitment is a crowded marketplace, and most agencies say broadly the same things about themselves. What we can point to is the infrastructure underneath the promises. We are a technology-driven business: right to work, DBS, references, qualifications and working-time data are handled as gates rather than paperwork, so no worker reaches your site until every check has cleared — and so an audit is a query, not a fortnight of digging through files.

That back office is what frees our consultants to do the part that cannot be automated. Every client and every candidate gets a named consultant and a direct number. Not a shared inbox, and not a different account manager each quarter.

We are aware that promises about speed and service are easy to make. Ours are simple enough to hold us to: where the brief allows it, temporary cover goes on site the same day. If we do not think we can fill a role, you will hear that on the first call rather than in a fortnight's silence.

Six things we will be held to

Bespoke service

No two clients run the same way, so we do not run the same process for all of them. We work to your framework, your portal and your approval chain — not ours.

Customer service

A named consultant and a direct number. Not a shared inbox, and not a different account manager every quarter.

Professionalism

Everyone we put forward has been screened, referenced and cleared before the CV reaches you. We would rather send three right people than thirty.

Expertise

Generalist as an agency, specialist by consultant. Each desk is run by someone who understands the roles on it.

Response and turnaround

Where the brief allows it, temporary cover is on site the same day. Contract and permanent searches move in days, not weeks.

Honesty and integrity

If we cannot fill it, you hear that on the first call. Rates, margins and timescales are quoted openly and confirmed in writing.

Certification

Cyber Essentials

The UK Government-backed scheme, administered by IASME and supported by the National Cyber Security Centre. Certification confirms that the five technical controls — firewalls, secure configuration, user access control, malware protection and security update management — are in place and independently assessed.

We hold candidate records, right-to-work documents and payroll data. Certification is how you verify we look after them properly, rather than taking our word for it. It is also a standing requirement on many public sector contracts.

Membership

TEAM

The Employment Agents Movement — established in 1994 and the UK's largest network of independently owned recruitment businesses, with over 500 members across more than 700 locations.

Membership means that when a brief falls outside our desks, we can reach a national network of independent agencies rather than turning the work away. Independence with the reach of a much larger group.
